Are we Not Men – Devo

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, y-y-y-y-y-y-y-yeah! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, y-y-y-y-y-y-y-yeah!
Sat in the garden today trying to listen to Are we Not Men, but had to do battle with daughter’s Capital Radio. A song came on the radio which I am fairly sure made reference to chiropratology. A bit of an odd healthcare profession to appear in a rap song, outside of the traditional use of doctors in songs. This got me thinking about other bands that could get away with using chiropractors in their songs. The only two I can think of are the Residents and Devo. Wonder what could you rhyme with lumbar disc prolapse? Or maybe we could have a more accurate bones song, the L1 is connected to the L2 the L2 is connected to the L3…
Anyway the Devo album still sounds good after 30 odd years of listening, and Gut Feeling is still maybe the best track on the album. Maybe the track Slap your Mammy could feature A and E doctors.
