The Glad Fact – The Dirty Projectors

I like this album, but I find the cover disturbing, and strangely familiar. I always think that The Dirty Projectors are what the Fall would have sounded like if they were North American and had attended Yale University, so they don’t sound like them at all really. Trying to describe this album is quite difficult, but I will give it a shot. They basically take their songs, smash them on the ground, then only use the sharp shards, and discard the smooth bits. It is quite a difficult album, post-graduate astrophysics difficult, not like Grizzly Bear, who I would say are A-Level Maths difficult.
Hidden gem; Off Science Hill (sometimes I don’t know if it is experimental, or if they are just drunk)
Best track name; The Highway is a Foggy Knife
